INKTOBER CONTEST 2018

Thank you to everyone who submitted an entry for this year's contest. Our selection committee had a difficult time choosing the four finalists, as there were so many fantastic drawings by some very talented artists. We hope everyone will participate in next year's contest.

Official Rules

Each October, comic artists and fans rejoice in the celebration of comic artwork. AIC Comics wants to reward the hard work and dedication of the artists who bring our favorite characters to life. Entries into this year's contest must contain one or more of our characters (see them below). Entries cannot contain characters or other material that is not owned by AIC Comics. All artists over 18 years of age are welcome to participate. However, prize money can only be paid via PayPal or WeChat and so contestants must be able to accept payment from either entity.

Prizes

Grand Prize: $200 + a feature in the 2018 Annual Holiday Illustrated Spectacular

2nd Place: $75

3rd Place: $50

Additionally, all winners will receive a $30 fee for ownership of copyrights. Winners must agree to providing AIC Comics with copyrights in order to qualify. Other entries may be eligible to receive the $30 fee for ownership of copyrights, should the original artist and AIC Comics agree to an exchange. Any artist who agrees to an exchange of copyright ownership with AIC Comics has permission to include it in his or her portfolio. Other uses can be negotiated with AIC Comics.

Deadline & Voting

All entries must be submitted no later than 11:59pm on October 31st PST. One entry per contestant is allowed. Entries cannot contain nudity, graphic sex acts, or other sexually explicit material in accordance with Google's policy (entries are submitted via Google Forms). Contestants will be notified via email if their entry is deemed to be ineligible. AIC Comics has full discretion to determine eligibility of all entries.

Following the October 31st deadline, we will select our four favorite entries to be voted on by the public. The vote will take place on during the week of November 18th. The votes will then be tallied and the winners will be announced on November 30th.
