Cantabile is a choir with a wide variety of experience levels. This is a non-auditioned group, and any student who likes to sing is welcome to join. Cantabile sings a variety of literature spanning many different genres, styles, and cultures, and aims to learn about singing while exploring the voice and having a lot of fun while doing so. This choir offers both ensemble and solo opportunities throughout the year.
Cantabile is designed to develop each singer's vocal ability in a positive environment. The curriculum focuses on healthy and efficient vocal production and ensemble techniques, and offers opportunities to practice such skills through learning of the ensemble’s choral literature, regular sight-singing, ear-training, and music theory practice. Members of this group are highly motivated, goal-oriented, and make incredible strides in musicianship growth each year. This ensemble is an inclusive environment which supports all students.
