For my entire life, I’ve always been a dog person. I didn’t care what kind of breed or whatever size it was, I just loved them. I remember my sister and I begging for a dog when we were about 5 or 6, and nothing has ever matched the feeling of going to the humane society and leaving with a furry companion. I once heard someone say that to us, dogs are a small part of our life, but to them, we’re their whole life. Hearing this made me realize that a dog will dedicate their whole life to you, without a second thought. They see beyond color, social status and financial wealth. As I reach adulthood, I see my childhood dog grow old right before my eyes. He was a rescue and it only took him a couple days to become protective of us and never leave our side. He was, and still is, a true sweetheart and companion who loves unconditionally. In this portfolio, I aimed to capture the pureness of these creatures who love us so dearly, without reason.
