Nature is all around us, but little do we actually appreciate it. I’m guilty of ignoring it, too, but when I look at the world through the camera lens, I feel as if I can finally take a break from the rest of the world and focus on just that. Many people will admire the sunset on a tired day, but there is so much more that we miss. I love the painterly skies whether at dawn, dusk, or the dead of night; the intricate patterns the tree branches make interwoven; even something as simple as a bush of flowers or the grass and leaves. All of this is all around us, but it is hard to notice unless you truly look for it. Getting behind the camera allows me to appreciate what’s right in front of us.
