SERIES: Abstraction
In this body of work I tried capturing the balance I have maintained throughout high school. The sharp lines represent organization while the other shapes and messy lines show some disorganization. I felt the need to show both sides of who I am while trying to grasp people's attention. The bright colors and clean shapes represent my bubbly personality while the neon colors create a contrast between the light and dark. The varied shapes and sizes in these works capture the difference between my moods. The evil eye I put multiple times throughout my pieces is another representation of balance and how not everything is what it seems. While the evil eye has a contradicting name it is known for protection. An interesting part about my work is how any person can look at it and feel a different way. As much as my work is simple, the crisp lines, overwhelming shapes, and vibrant colors really pull people in creating a nice wave of emotion.
