Since I started studying fine art I have always subconsciously picked food as my subject, not only because of its exciting textures and colors but also because food brings me lots of joy. My guiding inquiry started with, "how can I share my own perceptions and memories related to the joy of eating food?". As my work evolved, I became more and more interested in the important role food plays in my sense of feeling connected to my family and culture.
