Health and Safety
Teachers will notify parents prior to the start of school about the following Health and Safety measures that are in place at school:
Temperature scan at arrival at the vehicle or front door
Parents have restricted entry to the building
Hand sanitizer upon entry into the building
Wash hands after putting personal belongings away
Reduce the use of classroom shared items where possible (ex. Each child will have their own marker)
Teachers will use gloves when serving food. Serving will be done only by adults.
Frequent hand washing throughout the day
Hand sanitizer upon exiting the building
Each room will be sanitized in accordance with the school district’s plan on a daily basis at mid-day and end of the day
Teachers will talk to children about why people are wearing face coverings and social distancing.
Teachers will teach children germ spreading prevention measures starting at the beginning of the year.

Iowa Academic Standards & dATA
Teachers will continue to use the Iowa Early Learning Standards and Teaching Strategies GOLD in all delivery models.
Teachers will work with families through Seesaw or other methods to gather information for assessment of skills.
Teachers will communicate to families about the expectation, process, and importance of gathering evidence of skills for assessment purposes.

All teachers/families/students will have access to a Google Form to complete to assist in the identification of individuals who are in need of SEBH support.
The Student Success Team will create and share a form to help families and students get into contact with school-based provided services.
A local resource list for all families and teachers will be available. (ex: food banks, counselors, what hospitals/clinics have available, etc.)
Student success team will continue individual/group sessions via Zoom in the event of student absence or continuous learning.
Teachers will have increased communication between school and families regarding SEBH status.
Special Education
Teachers will follow the IEP Team’s recommendations for Special Education. (More information coming for Sp. Ed. from the state)
