THIS PAGE SHOWS THE UPDATES AS THEY HAPPENED...
Exciting times! Our new-build has begun to take shape! This page is being updated to show you the exciting progress being made on our junior playground.

April 2018 - During the Easter holidays, our adventure playground was dismantled by Sovereign, ready to be reassembled later in the term in its new location. Our junior playground was secured by our building contractors, so that it is inaccessible to pupils and the public. On 16/4/18, work began to clear the playground ready for the foundations to be laid. Mr Stainsbury has mounted a time-lapse camera so that the building work can be recorded over the months to come...
April 2018 (cont.) - 20/4/18 - Borras Construction staff visit our pupils in assembly to share videos, photos and plans with the children. They are talking about site safety, dangers of going onto a building site and sharing some exciting news about what is to come over the next few months! One of our pupils has animated a video based upon what they've learned!
23/4/18 - Foundation metalwork arrived today. Meanwhile, pupils have begun making their 'site safety' posters for our competition.
June 2018 - Our foundations are set and we are ready for some walls! Take a look at our progress so far...
Thank you to our contractor, Glenn, for overseeing the recording!
20.6.18 - Some of our year five children had the opportunity to visit our site today, with our CEO Mr. Julian Drinkall. They have decided which classroom they want to 'bagsy' for next year already!
Over the summer, huge progress has been made in our new block. However, it cannot be finished in time for the new term as a result of the additional time given for the consultation period, following local objections to the planning permission. As our year six pupils need a classroom for September, work began this August on creating a temporary classroom on the site of our old caretaker's shed. It is amazing how quickly it has come along!
Meanwhile, on the site of our three new classrooms, finishing touches are taking place! Skirting boards, fixtures and fittings, doors and ceiling panels... it's all going up so quickly!
Completion! 30th November - we had our official opening ceremony today! Visitors from the local community, schools, AET and council attended for our grand opening. Our children are now in their new classes and loving the wonderful experience...
Thank you to everyone involved with such a successful project!
