Where and when?
Every Tuesday at 1.45pm-2.45pm on College Campus
What is the purpose of the cafe?
Students build knowledge and skills through a well sequenced series of lessons. As a result, they are more ready for employment, volunteer work and post 19 study related to hospitality.
The academy works in partnership with parent volunteers to strengthen pupils learning
Parents/carers and members of the public that visit the cafe enjoy themselves
Which pupils are involved?
A small group of students commit to a focused period of cafe and non-cafe based learning. New pupils commence the unit of work about every half term
What do pupils learn?
This is the intended knowledge that pupils will gain. Staff use assessment and feedback to help students build upon and remember long term what they have learned.
How do we work with parent volunteers to help pupils?
