The 2 Johns visited in April 2023 and led sessions for pupils, parents and staff.

Being online can offer great benefits and opportunities for all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. It can connect them with others, and support learning and the development of communication, social and emotional skills. However, evidence also suggests that children with SEND can be more vulnerable to online abuse.

The 2 John’s website includes information about privacy settings, cyberbullying and online grooming as well as a parents' & carers guide: let's talk about life online, which Childnet have produced. Please see www.esafetytraining.org/resources/parents-carers-area/

Parents may also find these resources from National Online Safety helpful.

As part of our PSHE, RSHE, and computing curriculum, we support pupils to be safe online. Strong relationships between staff and pupils, and designated opportunities, encourage pupils to speak to us if they are worried.

Please contact the school if you would like help to keep your child safe online.
