Hello! Welcome to our school and to Portugal!
We know that arriving in a new country can be scary at first, but I want you to know that here you'll find people who want to help you. The language may be difficult at first, but don't worry—we all learn step by step, and you will see how quickly you improve!
Try to participate in school activities, it helps you to make friends and learn faster. Don't be shy about asking for help—teachers and classmates are here for you.
And remember: we all have something special to share. Your country, your culture, and your history are important. We are happy to have you with us!
Big hug!
Dhurbasil Gurung, Nepal
Hello! Welcome!
Be very strong: even if sometimes you feel like you can't do it, believe that you can!
Always give your best, achieve your goals, and never give up! I know it's very difficult to leave your country "with your whole life in a suitcase." I also know how lonely and empty you can feel and how difficult it is to adapt to a new culture, to different types of food, and, especially, to learn and understand a new language. But you have to keep going, because later you'll look back and realize it was worth it! You should also always think of the positive things, like how lucky you are to learn another language, the opportunity to visit another country, etc.
Above all, be strong, honest, respectful, empathetic, and never lose hope!
If you need my help, I'll be there when I can.
Shara Garcia, Colômbia

Don't be afraid to learn Portuguese!
Hugs!
