Hello families, this is my third year teaching at Albert Einstein Academy however, I am entering my 6th year of teaching TK! Before TK I substituted the lower grades and had the pleasure of working in the Early Education Field for 10 years where I fell in love with the younger ones! ( 2-5). I am a San Diego native and family oriented. When I'm not teaching cath me chasing my toddler and spending time with my family. This year I am excited to get to know your child and I can’t wait to see what our year holds!
Hi everyone! My name is pronounced Sue-leam. I’m SOCal born & raised and love being in tune with nature and the calm of a slower life. I married my best friend in the summer of 2025, and we have a pup named Teo. In our free time we enjoy family outings—walking our North Park neighborhood, trying new coffee shops and breweries, and visiting the farmers market. I’ve worked at AEA since 2022, when TK was established. It was a privilege to help shape the curriculum and principles we use today. Our TK family has since quadrupled. I’m excited to meet you and your little ones and watch their personal and academic growth. Can’t wait for an amazing year together <3
Hello families! I am Ruth Hill, your TK-B teacher. I have a Master's Degree from USD and have been teaching since 2018.
I love teaching the littlist of littles and believe in play based learning. It is important to me that they build social, emotional, and communication skills as a great foundation along with academics. You will probably hear your little singing songs about letters, words, shapes, affirmations, etc around you.
A bit about me on a more personal level, I am a Southern California native that loves to travel and be in nature. Kayaking, backpacking, camping, finding hot springs are all things I enjoy and try to do regularly. I also enjoy live music, movies, reading biographies, rollerskating, going to breweries, and spending time with my skateboarding son!
I am looking forward to start your child's educational journey and fill it with magic, sparkles, and wonderment!
Hi! I'm Lorena Wentling, best known as Ms. Lolo. I'm originally from Quito, Ecuador. I have two kid's attending AEA elementary (second and fourth grade). I love working with young children and I'm so excited to work along Ms. Hill to support your little ones's development. I'm a strong believer that early years are full of curiosity, creativity, and endless opportunties to learn through play.
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Education from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador and later completed my Master of Public Health with a concentration in Mental Health at National University. My background helps me support children's academic, social, and emotional development while creating a safe, caring, and welcoming classroom.
When I'm not in the classroom, you'll usually find me reading a good fiction book, hiking, spending time at the beach, taking photos, or making memories with my family. I'm excited to be part of your child's learning journey and can't wait to share a year filled with laughter, discovery, and growth!
Welcome to TK-C!
My name is Eryn Holt and
I grew up in Williamsport, PA. I spent my high school junior year in Germany as an exchange student, learning German and LOVING every minute of it.
After getting my BA in International Business at San Diego State I moved to Germany and worked there for two years. Upon returning to CA, I literally stumbled into teaching here at AEA. The school was in its second year and desperately needed German speaking teachers. I accepted the kindergarten position and returned to school to gain my teaching credential and Masters in Education.
I'm proud to say that I have witnessed AEA through thick and thin and I can’t imagine a school where I would be happier to teach!
This is my 24th year teaching here and I spend 23 of those years, LOVING Kindergarten! This is my first year in TK and I am SO EXCITED to be a part of your FIRST AEA experience! Welcome to our TK-C family!
When I am not at school, my husband of 24 years, and I are getting to know life after the kids go to college! 2 of our 3 boys are off playing soccer and enjoying college and our youngest is a freshman at SDHS! I enjoy sewing and knitting as well as baking and spending time with my family and friends.
Welcome to TK-C!
My name is Barbara Lewis and I am excited to be part of your child’s first school experience. As a TK aide, I will be here to support throughout the day, help make everyone feel comfortable and confident, and encourage them as they learn, play, and make new friends.
I‘ve been part of AEA for over 22 years in a variety of different functions and I‘m looking forward to getting to know each child and helping create a classroom environment that feels safe, welcoming, and fun.
Thank you for welcoming me into your child’s school journey. I’m looking forward to a fantastic year together!
Welcome, Families!
I am so excited to be part of the Transitional Kindergarten team this year! Before joining AEA in 2015, I taught students from Transitional Kindergarten through 6th grade in National City beginning in 1999.
AEA is special to me not only as a teacher, but also as a parent. Our son attended AEA from Kindergarten through middle school. Watching him develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning inspires me to help every child in our class discovers their own strengths through the IB Learner Profile.
I hold a bachelor's degree in Visual Arts/Media and teaching credential from UC San Diego, a master's degree in Educational Technology from National University, and an Early Childhood Education Certificate and a Gifted and Talented Education Certificate from UC San Diego Extension. I also enjoy learning German and have had the opportunity to travel to Germany, host German interns, and take German at Grossmont College. My background in visual arts also means you'll often see me documenting classroom learning through photos and videos so we can celebrate our growth together.
Outside of school, my wife and I enjoy volunteering with the San Diego Civic Dance Association, supporting our son's love of dance, spending time with our dogs, Roxie and Nacho, and connecting with family and friends.
I look forward to getting to know your child and family. Together, we'll create a joyful, caring, and connected TK Family where every child feels valued, supported, and excited to learn.
Hello, TK families!
My name is Veronica Antunez, and I am so excited to be your child's TK Aide this school year! I joined AEA about seven months ago as the Attendance Clerk, and from the moment I arrived, I fell in love with the welcoming community, amazing staff, and wonderful students. I am thrilled to now be working in the classroom, helping our youngest learners learn, grow, and have fun every day.
Before beginning my journey in education, I earned my bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and spent six years working as a Juvenile Probation Officer. While it was a meaningful career, I discovered that my heart was leading me toward working with young children and supporting them during such an exciting stage of their lives.
A little about me, I am a proud mom to two amazing kids. My daughter is 4 years old and just started TK herself, and my son is almost 7 and is in first grade. Soccer has always been a big part of my life. I started playing when I was five years old, and now I love watching my own children share that same passion. Most evenings and Saturdays, you'll find our family at the soccer fields, cheering them on and making memories together.
I can't wait to get to know each of your children and your families. I am looking forward to a year filled with learning, laughter, new friendships, and lots of special moments.
