(Percentages are based on total trip expenses, including application fee and travel insurance cost)
PVT Pricing:
Is based on the average cost of a PVT rather than on location specific costs. While we cannot equalize airfare for all parents, we have chosen to equalize this portion of the trip.
Covers costs for the parent and the Racer. Racers are not subsidized by World Race while on the PVT. Payment commitments to World Race ministry hosts for lodging, food, etc. are generally made for the full ministry time and made before we know who will be going on PVT.
Organizational Overhead - All donations to Adventures in Missions are subject to a 10% organizational overhead fee. This includes things such as credit card processing, “keeping the lights on,” maintenance and so forth.
Field and Program Expenses - This covers all direct costs of running the PVT program including:
Lodging, food, local transportation, and most ministry expenses for both parent and Racer.
Meeting space, additional cost for air conditioning, cooks, translators, currency exchange fees, communication expenses and other miscellaneous costs (where needed).
Required background checks
Facilitator airfares, expenses and training - We budget for two facilitators on every PVT. Small PVTs may only have 1.
Contingency/emergency expenses.
Parent Ministry oversight and support.
Shared Cost - Some departments at Adventures in Missions provide support to more than one category of trip. In addition to World Race and PVTs, we offer high school age, college age, family, adult, short-term and youth group trips. All of these programs share the cost for departments such as Admissions, Logistics, Regional Representatives, Risk Management, Donor Relations and Accounting.
