2025-2026 College Board Authorization Letter
This is probably the AP® math course most useful to the largest number of students, regardless of their future plans. Students will learn to collect data, to organize data, to present data, and to make sound decisions based on analysis of that data.
Many colleges and university accept qualifying scores on the comprehensive AP® Exam for college credit that counts as passing an Introduction to Statistics course, which is a requirement for many college degrees in many different fields.
But the value of this course transcends its ability to satisfy 3 credit hours on a transcript. Even students who choose not to attend college can use what they learn here, no matter what course they take upon graduation from high school.

This is a two semester option, recommended for all students willing to work hard and not give up. Even students who may not earn a qualifying score on the AP® Exam will gain valuable knowledge that is useful in all walks of life. An outstanding option to satisfy the requirement for a fourth year math course.
It is a challenging course, but doable for any student who wants to learn and is willing to work hard.

This is a one semester option, recommended only for highly motivated, highly disciplined students who have already scored a 28 or higher on their ACT. I taught this course for years in one semester in a public high school, but most students will struggle trying to digest the course content in a short four months.
