AP Precalculus is designed to be equivalent to a college Precalculus course. The three tested units (1-3) comprise content most colleges expect proficiency in for students to earn credit in an equivalent course.
The course includes an in-depth study of polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, and polar functions. Upon completion of this course, students should be well-prepared to perform well in AP Calculus, or a college Calculus I course.
What We Offer
This is a two semester option, beginning in early September. It is recommended for all students willing to work hard and not give up. All students who successfully completed Algebra II should be prepared and capable of completing the AP Precalculus course. The two-semester option will permit us to teach some of the material from the untested Unit 4 also.
It is a challenging course, but doable for any student who wants to learn and is willing to work hard.
Course includes:
Online instructional videos.
Online homework assignments.
Online exams (use of lockdown browser required).
Online textbook, downloadable as a pdf file.
Instructional support via email and Google Classroom.
Assistance finding a school to administer the AP Exam (taking the exam is optional)

Price: $1,000.00

This is a one semester option, recommended only for highly motivated, highly disciplined students who have already scored a 25 or higher on their ACT. Do not let the limited number of units fool you. There is a lot of deep material included in those three units that make it a very challenging task to master it in a semester.
We will offer this course, because we know there are students working to move on to higher level math courses. But we want to be completely honest and not downplay the level of difficulty it will involve in a one semester class.
