About -- John Allison taught high school math courses in a public school for 18 years before taking a position as Math Director at Arkansas Advanced Initiative for Math and Science, Inc., a non-profit that provides coaching, consulting, mentoring, professional development, and instructional resources to teachers and schools across the state of Arkansas. He taught everything from Algebra I to AP Calculus BC in public high schools during his career, with the last ten years primarily teaching concurrent credit college and AP courses. He taught Introduction to Statistics and Trigonometry courses at Pulaski Technical College as an adjunct instructor. In 2006, he taught a course in Non-Euclidean Geometry at Arkansas Governor's School. He earned his National Board certification in 2012 and served as a reader for AP Statistics since 2021. He earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Lyon College in 2006 and his master's degree in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2009.
