Days: 3‑Day Learning Plan
Students read part of the story and learn how to find the main idea (what the chapter is mostly about).
They also find important details that help explain the story.
These skills help students understand reading in Spanish and English.
Students learn to make inferences, which means using clues from the story to understand things that are not said directly.
They also learn to use text evidence (words from the story) to support their answers.
Students study the characters and describe how they act and feel.
Students learn about the tone (the feeling of the story) and the point of view (who is telling the story).
They look at the text structure and learn new vocabulary in context.
At the end, students write a short paragraph using evidence from the story.
By the end of the three days, students will be able to:
