Hi there! My name is Christina Hughes! I graduated
from the University of North Florida, located in
Jacksonville, with my Bachelor’s of Arts in Elementary
Education. I have two amazing kids. My son, Fletcher
is 9 and also attends Claxton, going into fourth grade!
My daughter’s name is Madeline and she is six and
will be starting first grade! Our family lives in South
Asheville, we are vegan and love playing board
games! We have two pets, a fluffy cat named Lars
and a puppy named Sadie. I love music and nature,
and I am always happiest when I get to be outside
with my family. I am so excited to teach first grade
this year, and I know that we will have so much fun
learning together!
Hi! My name is Mrs. Robinson and I am Mrs. Hughes
assistant. I have worked at Claxton for over a decade but
has been an employee at ACS for a total of twenty four
years. I worked as a kindergarten assistant but the bulk of
those years were in first grade. I found working with first
graders were the most rewarding and best experience I’ve
had thus far!
I was born and raised here in North Carolina! I am a
graduate of Asheville High School and attended AB
Technical College. During my tenure here in the district I
was awarded Teacher Assistant of the year twice and was
the Tracey Calhoun recipient for bus driver of the year!
My husband and I have been married for 23 years and
have two grown children China RaQuel and Cheyenne.
The things I love to do are going on cruises with family
and friends, going to the movies, and out to eat.
Although the start of the school year will look a lot
different, I’m super excited to work with your children. I
can’t wait to learn more about them!
