Welcome to the Bright IDEAS (Isaac Dickson Enrichment After School) program!
Bright IDEAS runs Monday through Friday, 2:30-6:00. Every day begins with a healthy snack, free time on the playground, and supervised homework help for all students. At 3:30, students go to either Explorers' Club or Elective Clubs. Students may fill their weeks with a combination of the two clubs.
Explorers' Club is a program that focuses on "exploring" the world around us -- science, culture, social studies, history...--through games, arts & crafts, food, reading, outdoor play and a variety of fun, creative, hands-on, activities. Explorers are divided by grade level. The cost is $12/day.
Students choose from a variety of options for clubs which are offered Monday through Friday from 3:30-4:30 for 8 weeks . Different clubs are offered everyday. Some previous clubs have included Break Dancing, Cooking, Swimming, Yearbook, Aerial Arts, Climbing, Tae Kwon Do, Chess, Arts and Crafts, and many others. There are 4 sessions per year. New clubs are offered every session. The cost for electives is $125 for the 8 weeks plus some clubs have an additional fee for materials, facilities use, etc. Students are welcome to join Explorers' after 4:30 at no additional charge. If you have a club you'd like to teach, let us know! please contact Penny Lewis.
