Dear Students !
This is Mrs.Amutha Selvam ( Ontario Certified Teacher ) welcoming you to my 2026/27 AP Physics 1 Class at ACS. This is my third year at ACS as a HS Physics teacher. I hold a Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.,) in Mathematics, Physics and Home Science and a Master of Science Education (Physics ) M.SC,Ed., from NCERT India. Last two years I gained valuable experience in teaching NGSS Physics Curriculum for Grade 9 Students and AP Physics 1 at ACS . I bring over 25 years of international teaching experience, having taught Math and Physics in India (State Board and CBSE), the Republic of Maldives (UK Curriculum), and Canada (Ontario Curriculum-Grade 9 &10 Math, Physics ,Chemistry, Biology and Grade 11/12 -University level Math and Physics.) . I’m passionate about making Physics engaging and meaningful for all my students.
My husband, Dr. Selvam Ramasamy, is a retired teacher from YRDSB, Toronto, Canada, We are proud parents of our two daughters: Dr. Soundarya Selvam, and Geethanjali Selvam ( Barrister &Solicitor) both of whom work in health care in Toronto. After living 24 years in Canada for the 25th year we came to Amman, Jordan.
Outside the classroom I enjoy spending time reading, hiking, traveling, and storytelling. To me " Every Child Matters !"
