I’m so glad to welcome you to a new 2018/2019 school year. My name is Marina Khaleel and I am the P.E. teacher for PK, KG and 1^st grade students. This is my seventh year at ACS as a teacher. I have lived in Jordan for 19 years with my husband and five wonderful kids. I enjoy reading, traveling with my family and patchwork.

My background includes a bachelor’s of Sports and Coaching from the Moscow State University, followed by three years of research in biomechanics. I received my master’s degree from Buffalo State University in Multidisciplinary Studies.

Swimming classes are a very important part of the curriculum at ACS. All PE teachers are certified by AUSTSWIM, organisation for swimming and water safety. I'll be teaching the students swimming skills in the pool.

To prevent accidents in P.E. classes, please help your child to wear comfortable clothes and safe shoes (preferably tennis/running shoes) to school. Please make sure your child does not wear Crocs, UGGs or cleats on P.E. days. Or, students can keep sports shoes in school so the teacher’s assistant or homeroom teacher can help your child to wear them before every P.E. class. Please make sure your child brings a filled reusable water bottle to class throughout the year.
