Find a type of puppetry that you are interested in and then do some research answering several questions that you will then present to the class. You will be asked to work in pairs and create a document that you can share to the group during our Google Meet up. Pictures are a great way to showcase your learning. Remember that people can either read or listen to what you are doing.
Watch the video and then add some reflections to your Rough Draft of the Digital Journal.
You will create a Shadow Puppet presentation to present on the computer screen for your Summative assessment.
Look through the Explore section of the assignment. Watch the videos required and open up the document listed to take notes. Look through the Explain section of the assignment. Add notes on the Lilac document and work with research skills to find out the script and what needs to be completed for the puppet and set creation. Start working on creating the puppets and also practicing your performance for the class.
Requirements:
1) You must create different voices for the puppets in the story and the volume of the performance must be loud and clear enough to understand. You may also need to create a voice of the narrator to tell the story.
2) You should have some form of shadow puppet scenery created to tell the audience where they are located in the story.
3) You should have some music to help set the mood for your story (ensure that it has no words in it as they cause distraction)
4) You should have something that can move or articulate on at least one of your puppets.
5) You will film your presentation and add it to a Google Drive folder in class AND upload that video here to the assignment. Should be about 2 minutes in length Minimum!
6) You must also complete the Evaluation form (yellow) from watching other students' performances.
7) You will add 2-3 slides in your Digital Portfolio to showcase your learning
Once you have selected your Aesop fable you will then start to plan out your ideas with what characters to make and create. You will have 3 times to get feedback from your peers about your progress. You can ask questions about your voice use, the puppets, the scenery or ask general questions to help you improve your work overall. Use these documents for the different feedback sessions
