EXPLORE
As you look through these resources make notes about the Voice Warmup process. (Yellow document on GClass). Include descriptions of the 4 stages in the warmup process, and also something that you learned new. Be prepared to share out in class.
EXPLAIN
After watching each of those videos, you will record your own version of doing the exercise. You have a maximum of 10 minutes for each recording. After these activities you will write a digital journal reflection about why do Actors need to use some of these warm up activities Add some information about what you enjoyed and found useful in these skills, and what others ones you felt did not really work for you. (Keep in mind you will feel silly doing these exercises, but think less about the silly feeling and focus more on whether or not you feel as though your muscles and face are ready to warm up and work.
APPLY
Watch the other video: what things are similar to the first 4 videos, what was done differently? Fill this in on the Yellow Sheet in GClass. You will then need to record yourself doing the Tongue Twister and the Patterns video Monologue. Your task is to do a monologue without the warm up and then do the monologue After the warmup.
Acting 2:
Choose a slightly more challenging monologue for this assignment. Choose something that has either more complex words, older language, or challenging content emotionally.
