In this semester course, sixth-grade students will develop skills in communication, evaluation, inquiry, teamwork, and interpretation. They will enrich their imagination and creativity through a practical exploration of drama, from its origins in ancient civilizations to modern day practices. Participation in practical tasks and exercises will improve their coordination, confidence, concentration, and self-expression. Students will keep a journal of their experiences from the class where they will reflect upon the creative process and evaluate their progress. Small scale performance - exhibitions will assess student learning.
