BASE (Bonding/Building Relationships - Academics - Service - Excellence) class period takes place almost daily on the MS schedule. In this class, students are assigned a Middle School Teacher to be an extra advocate and support for their MS journey. Students will have the opportunity to address and discuss social-emotional issues in a safe, welcoming classroom setting. BASE teachers will present lessons using a variety of strategies and media to guide the class through discussion while providing students with the opportunity to engage in an exchange of thoughts and ideas with their classmates. Topics may include:

Bullying & Harassment: how to identify bullying behavior and what to do about it
