📘 Absences & Make-Up Policies

🏫 Attendance & Responsibility

Regular attendance is essential for student success. If a student is absent, it is their responsibility to complete all missed work.

• Absence does not excuse assignments.
  
  

• If absent on the day an assignment is due:
  
  

  • Unexcused absence → Grade = “Z” (zero).
    
    

  • Excused absence → Work must be submitted promptly.
    
    

• Students should check with their teacher or Google Classroom for missed work.
  
  

• Deadline: All make-up work must be completed within 1 week of the absence.
  
  

Until submitted, the grade book will show a “Z” or “F.”

🚫 Unexcused Absences

• Students must resolve/clear the absence before making up missed work.
  
  

• Once excused, students have up to 1 week to submit work.
  
  

Failure to do so → Grade remains a “Z.”

⏳ Late Work Policy

• 10% deduction per day for late assignments.
  
  

If not submitted by the final due date, the grade remains a “Z.”
