Comprehensive Science 3 is a science credit course that includes topics on the universe, stars, earth, and moon, the sun, space exploration, properties of matter, states of matter, the atom, the periodic table, photosynthesis, cellular respiration, and cycling of matter and energy, climate, atmosphere, ocean currents, erosion, landforms, energy, motion of speed, acceleration, forces, gravity, the human body, diseases in the human body, disorders in the human body, classification of living things, cells, and scientific research. Students enrolled in this science course will take a Science State Test at the end of the school year.

This comprehensive Science Course is a prerequisite for many majors in higher education, such as medicine, the biological sciences, environmental science and engineering. When you leave this class next year, you will have a profound appreciation for the composition of the world around you, and you will have expanded your science vocabulary and knowledge.
