Learning a new language can be very intimidating. It can be especially intimidating when it is your first experience with learning a new language, learning it with others, who already have some background in it, and you are about to graduate high school. All of these things did not deter Jada. Jada is a natural-born leader, and she is not going to back down from a challenge. She is not only going to conquer that challenge, she is also going to raise other people up to have them conquer it as well. She is not afraid to ask questions, listen to the answers, and work on what she needs to work on to improve. However, above all, she has true compassion for other people. She helped others by learning about their lives and was truly interested in their culture. Whatever path Jada chooses, I know, will benefit humankind. We need people like Jada in our lives to help us be better people. Congratulations Jada! I am so sorry that I could not give this to you in person, or meet the important people in your life.

SPANISH AWARD AUDIO RECORDING.mp3
Every year, the World Language Department of Williams High School celebrates the students in the Spanish class that demonstrated outstanding performance all through the semester. The recipient of the Spanish Award is recognized for their hard work and dedication combined with a strong sense of collaboration, cooperation and participation. This year’s awardee put his whole heart and soul into his Spanish III Class.During our face-to-face months at Williams he was always present in class being supportive and willing to lend a helping hand to his peers. He did a fantastic job staying on task and turning his work in on time. He showed compassionate, kind, dependable, and reliable. He exercised continuous positive attitude not only toward the members of the class, but toward whatever task was assigned. Responsible and respectful are two words that describe him, and this is why he can be considered a great role model for other students. During the e-learning part of this school year, my awardee has actually stood out for his remarkable personality. He has never stopped completing online assignments, putting in the extra time and effort to make sure to complete quality work that reflects his knowledge. He has become an example of stamina, persistence, perseverance and resilience combating the anxiety we have all gone through in unprecedented times. It is my great honor and privilege to present the Spanish Award of the School Year to KEVIN GARCÍA REYES. Kevin, receive this award that you so richly deserve! ¡Sé que vas a ser un gran profesional, como también sé que le vas a hacer contribuciones importantes a las dos culturas a las que perteneces! ¡Felicitaciones por tus logros en la clase de Español!
