Library Procedures
Behavior
The library is a community learning space and must serve multiple purposes. In accordance with the ABRHS General Behavioral Expectations in the Student Handbook, all students are expected to conduct themselves with consideration and thoughtfulness for the rights of others and will be treated with dignity and respect by library staff. Students who consistently demonstrate disregard for the library community may have their library privileges revoked for a period of time.
Remember: the library is for everyone!
Students should arrive in the library by the bell. Students who arrive after the bell will be asked to sign-in at the front desk.
Food is not allowed inside the library to keep it clean and pest-free. Covered drinks are permissible.
Please use library materials with care and return them on time so that others can use them as well.
Finally, please do not leave belongings unattended in the library.
9th Grade Access to the Library
9th grade students are welcome in the library before and after school and during any free periods they may have during the day, or during their lunch block (student may not, however, eat lunch or snacks in the library).
PLEASE NOTE: Directed Study does not count as a free period. Students may stop by the library to print, take pictures of textbook pages, take our or return books, or get tech help. They should work in their assigned study.
