ECARES is committed to raising awareness of, and advocating for, an environment of antiracism, equity, and social justice in all aspects of our school community. These include, but are not limited to: helping all students and staff to feel validated in a safe and trusting environment; giving students voice and space, particularly those in marginalized groups; recommending curriculum and instruction suggestions/guidelines across all disciplines; encouraging conversations among all members of the school community (administrators, teachers, students) that foster restorative justice and collective growth; working proactively to prevent oppression in the school community; celebrating our diversity and all unique experiences that collectively strengthen our school community; collaborating with partners in the greater Acton and Boxborough communities who share our commitment.
