The Policy and Practices subcommittee is looking at staff hiring practices at the high school with the goal of increasing staff diversity. Members of the committee met with Assistant Superintendent Marie Altieri to learn about current district-wide efforts to diversify staff throughout ABRSD. Our next step is looking at ways the high school can further this work in our recruitment, hiring, and retention practices. The subcommittee will also be looking at discipline policies at the high school and conducting a study of other high schools' policies with a focus on schools with an active restorative justice program.
