Pre-Employment Transition Services

Able South Carolina provides WIOA mandated Self Advocacy Pre-Employment Transition Services to students in the Midlands, Pee Dee Region, and the Upstate through their partnership with the South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department and the South Carolina Commission for the Blind.

Pre-ETS Overview

Curriculum

Self Advocacy Lessons are effective for all students with all types of disabilities. 

Each lesson is a fun activity and engaging discussion taught by a trained Youth Transition Specialist.

Format and Delivery

All classes are offered as 4 weekly 45-minute sessions or an immersive one-day workshop.

Virtual classes are hosted live through any school's preferred online platform.

Able SC classes can be planned to work with your school's schedule.

Other Services

Training and Technical Assistance

Training and technical assistance can be provided individually and/or in group settings to educators, service providers, and/or families in order to aid in the growth and development of skills and practices for supporting people with disabilities. 

One on One Goal Planning

Able SC also offers individualized goal planning and skill building through mentorship with trained Youth Independent Living Specialists.

These specialists will meet with youth one on one to help understand school assignments, build socialization skills, and accomplish independent living goals.
