If you would like an MHP to check in on a student please fill out our Student Wellness Check-In request. A Wellness Check-In should be requested if you have concerns about a student that you have or they are in need of resources. For example a student disclosed to you that they recently became homeless, they were separated from their family, they recently lost a loved one.
Please note that a Wellness Check-in is a one time service, if you notice that this student is in constant need or has more severe symptoms please consult with a Mental Health Professional at ext. 22051 for further intervention.
Schools perform better when staff are healthy, motivated and focused. Research consistently shows that when staff feel their work is meaningful and they are valued and supported, they tend to have higher wellbeing levels, be more committed to the schools goals and, importantly, perform better. While we are exploring ways to advocate for staff wellbeing at the school level and district level, we also want to provide individual staff the ability to tune into their mental health and wellbeing. As a supplement to our SEL PD program we have included handouts, worksheets, presentations, and resources to support students who may be experiencing a crisis while in your classroom or at school. Our goal is to equip you with the tools and information you need as an educator or staff to manage and respond with effective and evidence-based interventions.
