Starting or Renewing a Club
Requirements
A completed application must be filed with and approved by Gahr ASB
Each club is required to submit a club constituion, proposed budget, and a signed advisor contractto the ASB office by the advisertised due date.
A certificated employee of Gahr High School MUST BE the advisor
Students MUST play a major role in decision making
The advisor is there to guide and act as a trustee of student funds
All clubs must have elected officers and MOTHLY meetings
Minutes must be recorded and submitted utlizing the online Minutes Form

Club Applications - Google Form
Included in the club application will be your club's Constitution and proposed budget for "financial clubs" ONLY
Club distinctions - activity vs. financial
activity - a club that does no financial buiness: no fundraising or purchasing (budget not required)
financial - a club that has income and expected expenses. Each club is required to submit a proposed budget for the current school year.
Club Minutes (turned in monthly once club status has been confirmed.)

Once approved:
email confirmation will be sent when approved
the bookkeep will be cc'd and she will activate your ASBWorks account if your club is "financial"
Each FINANCIAL club must have a proposed budget. This must be included in your Club Application.
Your budget is an ESTIMATE
Budgets can be revised - if the budget changes, submit a revised budget
Be sure to:
Include carryover fmo last year (Contact the ASB Bookkeeper if you are unsure of your club's balance.
Expect to have a zero balance at the end of the year.
Funds raised during the school year SHOULD be spent during the same year for specific purposes
If you anticipate carryover funds at the end of the school year:
Use meeting minutes to document student APPROVALof how to spend their monies the follow year
Clubs shoudl not regularly carryover large sums of money
If there is carryover money currently in your club account, spend, or encumber (via P.O. Request process) this money before beginnging any new fundraisers
