All Probationers on the Teacher Induction Scheme (TIS) are required to go through a fairly intense period of Professional Learning and are required to dedicate 4.50 hours of their weekly timetable to Professional Learning during their probation year.
Probationers on the Flexible Route gain employment as supply teachers and work a full timetable with NCCT.
