We are looking for budding artists to submit a design to be used for the 2026 Award Ceremony. The winning design will feature on the award ceremony programme, invitations and event stationery with the other submissions being displayed during the event.
We have recently had a couple of issues where parents/carers have reported that they are not receiving emails from the school. Can we remind parents to save the groupcall address for the school as a contact or safe sender: 13ED011@groupcallalert.com to ensure that you do not miss important information from us. We also recommend that you download Eduspot (previously known as Xpressions). Eduspot is a secure communications app for schools similar to and working on the same principal as other apps you may already be using for general communication such as Whatsapp.
We are experiencing an exceptionally high volume of absences where parents/carers are not reporting. Please see information and reminder below on processes in order to ensure that your child is reported absent before 9.15am.
Please see the link below to access the latest Community Newsletter detailing all of our achievements and activities during terms one and two of the 2025-2026 session.
Bullying behaviour is never acceptable at St Machar Academy.
All young people should expect to feel valued, respected, safe and free from bullying behaviour.
Once a year we ask that all parents/carers complete an Annual Data Check to ensure that the school holds the most up-to-date information for you, your child and emergency contacts. We ask that all parents/carers complete the electronic Annual Data Check. Emails have been sent to all families so if you have not received this please check all mail boxes.
'Routine and Expected' visits are an accepted part of the curriculum that take place during the school day. These visits are to local venues within the local school area or city boundary, involve easily managed activities and happen on a regular basis. We ask that all parents/carers and pupils 16+ complete an Annual Block Consent to cover these excursions to support class activities. Emails have been sent to all families so if you have not received this please check all mail boxes.
For all information relating to your child's transition to S1 in August including transition forms and the annual block consent form, please see the link below. Please also remember to activate your Parent Pay account and load with money to ensure that your child can access the school canteen for lunch on their first day.
