  • Can I still get free meals and how do I apply?

If your child is entitled to free school meals and not attending school we will continue to make a payment to you to cover the costs of providing lunch for the duration of online learning. Children who are accessing school buildings will continue to receive a free school meal. Click here for more information on free school meals.

  • What will my child's day look like?

Each teacher will post a timetable overview for each day on the Google Classroom.

  • My child has additional support needs - where can I get advice?

Please contact the class teacher in the first instance.

  • Should my child attend all Google Meets?

Your child is expected to attend all online Meets. These live interactive sessions provide an excellent opportunity for your child to experience face-to-face teaching, interact with their peers and to ask their teacher questions. If your child is unable to attend a live Meet they should contact their class teacher.

  • Can my child ask for extra feedback if there is something they don't understand?

Yes. Pupils should always contact their teacher through the Private Message function on Google Classroom or via Gmail if there is anything they don't understand.

  • How can I check what work my child has to do and can I sign up to get Google Classroom summaries?

  • Please check through your child's account on Google Classroom - you can request to be added to receive parent summaries.

  • Can I apply for a device for my child?

  • We do not have devices to roll out at the moment, but are awaiting further news from Aberdeen city Council.
