In our Thursday  outdoor learning group we are going to try to fix the pond.  Then,  when we are done we will put everyone's hand print around the pond, and also add a mosaic so it looks nice. 

We will make sure that any wildlife that is currently in the pond is saved and put back in the new pond. 

We will add in notes every week of the steps we are taking to complete this task. 

Weeks 2-4

We split into three groups  to make the pond one is digging and there is a group that are sweeping up the leaves around the area. There is another group that was doing research of what we could buy for the pond. We've made a good start at our digging. We are thinking about trimming down some of the bushes in the area because they are very messy and in peoples way. 

We are asking for a bit of money from the PTA, we are not exactly sure how much we will need but we are working that out. The last group are thinking about what we are going to do to design the pond once it is done. 

Evaluation

Lois- I think it was a good project for the garden but I think we should have thought more about the time frame. I think we could have got more people, like adults, to help dig out the pond. 

Alastair- I think everyone participated in the project and took part. However I think we maybe wasted time discussing it rather than doing it. 

Henry- The idea of  the pond was a nice idea but it was the time period that we didn't have to complete it. If there more children in the group then it could have been easier to complete. 

Josh- I think we did well on it and I knew it would be hard to fit it all in. I think we could have used more time to dig. 

Aryan- I think it was a good idea to pick up the leaves and tidy around the pond. 

Dominik- I think the digging of the pond went very well even though we didn't have much time. 

Cristina- I think it was a good idea but not for the time we had. 

Fearne- I enjoyed taking part in a group and meeting others.  I think there could have been more people in each group so more work could be done. I think we should have done something smaller so we could have completed it. 

Angus- I think it was a very ambitious project to do but I thought at that start we wouldn't get it finished. I also think we wasted some of the time by raking the area around the pond. I think we could have cleared the rocks away instead.
