This course provides opportunities for learners to develop their knowledge and understanding of Scotland — its people, society, culture, natural environment and heritage. Learners study aspects of three subject areas in a Scottish context.
The course will provide learners with opportunities to broaden their understanding and appreciation of the society in which they live. This, in turn, may provide opportunities for learners to reflect on, and build, their own sense of identity as residents of Scotland and the wider world.
There are 4 units of study.
1. Scottish History: Mary Queen of Scots and the Reformation
2. Geography: Physical Environments - Glaciated landscapes
3. Travel and Tourism: Scotland
4. Mandatory Activity
