The purpose of the National Art and Design course is to provide a broad, investigative and practical experience of art and design. Creativity is the key focus.

The National Music course will develop a breadth of knowledge and understanding of music concepts and musical literacy.
You will learn to recognise and distinguish level-specific concepts, signs and symbols as you perform, create and listen to music. The course allows you to develop and consolidate practical skills in music and knowledge and understanding of music styles and concepts. It encourages you to self-reflect and explore your creative ideas.
The course provides opportunities for you to perform a range of music in solo and/or group settings.
The National Music Technology course engages you through practical music-technology-based activities and tasks which are supported by knowledge and understanding of music technology and music concepts, form and structures.
The course enables you to develop your practical technical skills and creative use of music technology in a range of contexts such as a radio show, creating sound for a video game or foley for a short film. It includes opportunities for personalisation and choice in selecting varied contexts for learning.
The course encourages you to critically reflect on your learning and the quality of your work.
The NPA Photography course is aimed at those who want to explore their interest in photography, increase your understanding and develop your skills in practical photography and in working with photographs.
You’ll explore creative and technical aspects of photography and work on a range of photo projects. The course is largely practical, evidence is gathered through a portfolio of photos and written tasks.
