Choosing a course is really tricky but there are several resources to help you in school, such as speaking to your Pupil Support or Subject Teachers, as well as information on UCAS.
Cults' Pastoral Care team have also helped to create a filtered search where you can look for a subject in your chosen field and it will show all of the Scottish Universities offering related courses!
If you are applying for college or university, you may also want to consider student loans. These are different to other forms of student finance (such as tuition fees) but can help students who need additional funding, for instance if they are living away from home.
You should apply as soon as you have decided on your courses but you will need to collect information about your families income before you start the process. In Scotland, you apply through the Student Awards Agency Scotland which is in the links section below.
If your results are not what you expected or if you are having a change of mind then clearing might be an option for you! This is when students are able to apply to undergraduate courses at colleges and universities that still have places available. Each college/university has a slightly different process but for most all you need to do is give them a call with your basic details and grades handy.
There are many options open to you through the clearing process - use the links below to learn more!
