HNC courses are at a higher level than National Qualifications and as a result are in greater depth, with each Unit (1 credit) consisting of approximately 40 hours of study.
They are vocationally focused and generally concentrate on specific careers, meaning you’ll become well equipped with both practical and theoretical skills in your chosen area of study. These are most commonly studied at college but have now be introduced to the ABZ Campus.
PUPILS CHOOSING AN HNC SHOULD ONLY CHOOSE ONE OTHER SUBJECT IN SCHOOL. HNCs REQUIRE PUPILS TO BE OUT AT COLLEGE FOR 2.5 DAYS OF THE SCHOOL WEEK
You will be assessed using a variety of methods. You will be assessed through assignments, projects and practical tasks that you complete throughout the course All assessments are internal and there is no final exam. You will also be assessed on placement to ensure you have met the requirements of practical element of the course.
