Pieces of Art to raise awareness

Song composed by: Sanaya Bhattacharjee with help from Maria LazarevaLyrics written by: Sanaya Bhattacharjee Sung by: Alexandra Gorodovsky

Song: Fade Away

We made a song that we feel represents the need for clean energy. First, it is sad to represent what humans have been doing and how we feel about it. The next part sounds more hopeful and it represents the direction we are going in renewable energy.

Artwork to Raise Awareness

Pollution Planet

-Sanaya Bhattacharjee

I made this artwork because we felt that it is important that people know about the benefits of renewable energy. The colourful galaxy represents all the CO2. Since the energy that we normally use is so harmful, and can do many beautiful things at the same time, we thought that a galaxy's beautiful but harmful explosions can match it. The grey part surrounding earth is our atmosphere. This atmosphere is grey because this very blanket around earth is closing. The yellow part surrounding earth was once part of the gray. Though some people that cared about helping earth used renewable energy to try to lower the impact of global warming. At the end of this yellow line it gets thinner. This is the part where more people use fossil fuels and that is defeating renewable energy. Earth looks normal because not many people fight for this planet because humans are the ones that can adapt to global warming. We put stars in this artwork for a similar reason to the galaxies explosions. It is that our fossil fuel energy may give out as a good use, but once overused, just like a star, it turns into trouble for others. Our main message is that "Renewable energy is so strong it is saving this planet, though that is not enough. It needs more hands to push upwards, and that upwards force is itself." These hands are the workers making renewable energy possible, the users, and the people who care about the world and put the fossil fuel idea in the recycling, to come up with renewable energy. The world needs more people in this rescue journey, to be a part of the solution. Don't be part of the pollution, be part of the solution.

A Renewable world

-Sanaya Bhattacharjee

I made this artwork to show others how life can still be beautiful using natures renewable energy. In this picture each different colour represents people. Everyone is unique and noone is the same. Though in an artwork all the colors need to come together to make a good colour combination. This artwork has a huge variety of colours. IT resembles the fact that everyone needs to come together to make some renewable energy. The river resembles the people who have tried to stop global warming by using renewable energy instead. They try to keep our planet going. Like the rivers consistent flow. We like to think of global warming as an opportunity to show how connected humans can be when needed. Imagine this river in the picture with a dam in it. Slowly over time all the water molecules will come together and the water level will rise. Soon enough the water pressure will get stronger and the water will fly on top of the dam and will go at an unstoppable speed after the pressure is released. We are the water and global warming is the dam. The only way to break global warming is to work together. The stones in front of the house is the work. Each stone has got a perfect place and people have to work hard to grow a foundation to stop global warming. stone by stone the path leads to a house. This house does use renewable energy. It has nature all around it. The mountains represent the big problem we have set for ourselves, that we must climb over. Though in this picture it has already been climbed and the mountains are now a gift of nature. The main message is: "The world is now beautiful and harmful, soon to lose its beauty. Let us make it beautiful and a good gift of nature."

Rainbow of Fate

- Sanaya Bhattacharjee

I made this artwork to show how unexpected life can be, this artwork is a simple marker drawing that still conveys an important message. I decided to do an illusion like artwork to show that there are more than one way to see things. The rainbow land represents energy, and each color represents a different type of energy. I decided to do a rainbow land to represent that if all our energy sources can collaborate with one and another than we can make something awesome. In one corner there is a sinkhole, I put this there to show that if we don't stop non-renewable energy growth, we will reach a dead end risking our lives and the life of mother earth. I put colours other than white in the sinkhole to show that even in our descending journey, we will notice some loses, but most likely will never see the picture unless we take action. The main message of this art is that "Life on earth is astonishing and holds many surprises, though along with that there is a negative and a positive. Positive is that we can stop the negative, negative is that we can stop the positive" This means that there is always a good and bad side. If more support the good, the bad will go away, though if all choose the bad, than good will go away. Today in our world the good is renewable energy, and the bad is the harmful yet beautiful non-renewable energy.

Renewable Rose

-Sanaya Bhattacharjee

I made this artwork to represent renewable energy. To me renewable energy is a never ending path that is beautiful in it's ways and it's looks. Renewable energy has many paths you can take, though if you take the non-renewable path, you don't have never ending. We need this never ending path because without it earth is likely to come to an end because of our actions. This artwork is a ribbon art, because if renewable energy is misused, it can do unexpected things, so it is a very interesting source. I decided to do a rose because it has many layers, and it is a very beautiful yet delicate flower, and can be found in many colours. The layers represent the hard work that people had to do to find out what renewable energy was. The colours represent the fact that there are many renewable energy types. The coil in the middle represents the fact that all will have an outcome. The yellow paint going out from the rose represents a chance for new paths, you can always change your path. There is 2 roses to make a lightbulb. Though the rose can not only represent renewable energy but can also represent life. The yellow paint going out from the rose represents a chance for new paths, you can always change your path.

Energetic energy

-Sanaya Bhattacharjee

I made this artwork to show how simple and how complex energy can be. At the right top corner of this painting, there are many colours flying around very fast. At the other corner at the top, all the colours become a big murky coloured area that will keep growing. This represents the complex part, because you have to pick a good steady speed with how you go with energy, this gives you time to think about what you are doing, and whether the action really is necessary. Without it you could find yourselves in a very difficult hole to get out of. The bottom of the page has some dark leaved with coloured outlines, this shows that you don't always have to take the nicest path, take the living one. The leaves represent renewable energy. The colours at the top represent non-renewable energy. The main message is that "life can be as pretty as it wants, but don't get fooled. "

Poetry

We wrote poetry in class and we decided to share it with you. Click on any videos below to listen.

Alex's Poem: Nature Again

This poem's message is, we've messed up the earth a lot, but there is still hope for humanity to undo the damage by using clean energy. If you want to learn how to use clean energy, check out our action.

Sanaya's Poem: No One Notices

This poems message is that even though there is something big going on, some people still don't help out. It is also about using renewable energy to fight against global warming. If you are interested in being the people who do something about it, use more renewable energy, and encourage less non-renewable energy. Also if you are interested in some crafts related to clean energy, check out our action.
