Academics

Most of the service time for students at Pittsfield is provided in their general education classroom. There are times that students may work in the resource room on academic material in a small group, take assessments in a quieter environment, work on organization of work, or to take a short break to re-set and be ready to work in the classroom.

I have been teaching since 2003 and have taught at the high school, middle school, and elementary levels. I have been at Pittsfield since 2009. I have attended Grand Valley State where I earned a Criminal Justice degree, College of Charleston where I earned a degree in Special Education- Learning Disabilities, and Michigan State University for a degree in Educational Technology.

When I am not at school I enjoying working outside in the yard, going for long walks, and reading. You may also find me at a few softball practices and games. I have two daughters who play travel softball and I play in a summer league. I live in Whitmore Lake with my husband and two of my kids. My kids are Mason and Teagan who attend WCC, and Peyton who is a freshman at Dexter High School.
