Non-SIS Courses
SIS = Student Information System (PowerSchool)
What is a Non-SIS course?
Most AACPS course are scheduled and rostered in PowerSchool - the AACPS Student Information System or SIS. This info is sent over to Brightspace to create new courses each year and maintain current enrollments of students and teachers.
Teachers whose courses are not scheduled and rostered (Non-SIS) in PowerSchool (Media, EEE, Home & Hospital, clubs, athletics, PLCs, etc.) or wish to have a Sandbox for practice can request Non-SIS courses.
The enrollments and start/end dates, along with Content creation, are the responsibility of the Non-SIS teacher.
