Design a community or a city by drawing a plan or diagram. Then using masking tape, layout the design of your city’s roads on the floor. Make the roads wide enough for Sphero to travel through.

Build or label elements of the community such as grocery stores, parks, fire stations, etc, and place those along the roads. Include a “home” for Sphero .

Test drive Sphero through the city to make sure he fits on the roads and pathways.

Open the Sphero EDU app and select programs from the bottom of the page. Do NOT sign into the app.

Hit the Plus sign in the bottom right hand corner, name your program and select the Blocks as the type of program you will be creating.

Design a code that will get Sphero from the starting point to the ending point!

Measure the distances and angles of the roads and pathways to program Sphero to navigate through the city.

Write a story about what Sphero does in a day. Include at least three stops or events. Program Sphero to act out the story. Add appropriate narration, actions, and lights to further enhance the story.
