Significant health risks have been determined to be the result of exposure to environmental tobacco smoke.
This smoking policy seeks to provide all employees with clean air environments free of tobacco smoke. The whole premise will be designated smoke-free with adequate signage to inform employees and visitors of the smoke-free status of the building. Smoking is not permitted in any office/s or work area/s, whether occupied by one person or more.
Smoking is not permitted including but not limited to the following areas:
offices or cubicles
work area
corridors
cafeteria
conference rooms
rest-rooms
reception areas
entrances
garage
storage areas
shipping and receiving
Smoking may be permitted as appropriate outside Youngsoft, Inc. premises at least 15 feet away from entrance, but will not be permitted inside Youngsoft, Inc. building. Where smoking is permitted receptacles may be provided for the disposal of cigarette ends and other waste smoking materials. This will be enforced 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Supervisors and managers will be held accountable for fairly applying all company policies including those on breaks and rest periods.
