Want to join me in making a difference to the history of Westfield? The Westfield-Washington Historical Society, is working to preserve a Westfield log cabin that is from the early 1830s. This cabin has been part of a barn for the last 106 years and has been linked to several local families that have been in Westfield since its creation in 1834. We have a short time to save this valuable piece of local history, but we have a plan. We have hired well known restoration specialist, Steven Lalioff. He is currently evaluating the cabin and creating a detailed listing of what is left of the cabin so we can disassemble and store it. We have a crew that will be disassembling the cabin before the week is over. We are looking for donations to help offset the costs and to continue to our second phase to rebuild the cabin in Westfield for the entire community to use and enjoy. Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
