Cell Phone Policy
The School Committee recognizes that many students possess cellular telephones and other electronic devices. These devices may not be used in any manner that disrupts the educational process, is illegal, or violates School Committee policies and/or school rules.
Students are prohibited from using privately owned electronic devices...during classes, study hall, assemblies, and other school activities.
a. During classes and school activities, all such devices must be turned off.
b. The only exception to this rule is when a teacher specifically authorizes students to use such a personal electronic device for a specific purpose such as photographing finished projects for development of a portfolio.
The rules in this classroom adhere to those established by the District. ALL PHONES, WATCHES, AIR PODS, etc. must be OFF and stored in a student's school bag
.
Failure to adhere to these rules will be communicated to parents/guardians and will result in a classroom detention, office detention, or a meeting with the student, teacher, parents/guardians, and administrators.
