Questions
1. What is your clinical differential diagnosiss?
- Given the patient's constellation of clinical findings including eye pain and visual loss, an abnormality localized to the optic nerve is suspected including optic neuritis. The additional symptom of paresthesias in a 23 year old woman is highly suggestive of a demyelinating process such as multiple sclerosis.
2. What scan would you order next?
